This first image shows how a clean, bright, colorful classroom can create a positive working environment for kids. I believe it is essential that all classrooms are like this. This photo reminded me of how much I loved going to school everyday knowing I would be with my friends, in a safe and happy environment. Having art on the walls, which were created by the kids, makes the kids feel part of the classroom. A kid that is happy with his or her surroundings is a kid who is learning.
I have some great memories of my time in primary school but each year the highlight for me was the schools sports day. I would have been eagerly waiting for sports day to come because of the laughs that came each year with it. There was such a variety of competitions, some which were very competitive others which were more relaxed and fun.
It is a goal of mine to be a primary school teacher as I am motivated to influence future generations. I understand the challenges that come with teaching but I believe I have the relevant qualities to create a positive learning environment for the kids. Each child is individually unique, some are talented academically, others are good at sports or drama etc. The challenge that faces the teacher is to develop and nurture each child, so that they reach their full potentially. A challenge that I would relish.
